VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
Volcanoes National Park, located in Rwanda’s northwestern region, is one of Africa’s most prestigious wildlife destinations and the crown jewel of Rwanda tourism. Spanning 160 square kilometers, this magnificent park forms part of the greater Virunga Conservation Area, which extends into Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The park is home to five of the eight volcanoes in the Virunga Mountains: Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga, and Sabyinyo.
