NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK
Nyungwe National Park, Rwanda’s largest national park covering 1,019 square kilometers, protects one of Africa’s oldest and most biodiverse montane rainforests. Located in southwestern Rwanda, this ancient forest is estimated to be over 10,000 years old and serves as a watershed for the Nile and Congo river systems.

Itineraries
“Canopy Walk & Primate Adventure”
- 5:00 AM – Early departure from Kigali (4-hour scenic drive)
- 9:00 AM – Arrive at park headquarters, registration and briefing
- 9:30 AM – Begin canopy walkway experience (50 meters high, 160 meters long)
- 11:00 AM – Guided forest walk on Igishigishigi Trail
- 12:30 PM – Lunch at Nyungwe Forest Lodge or packed lunch
- 2:00 PM – Colobus monkey tracking in the forest
- 4:00 PM – Kamiranzovu waterfall hike
- 5:30 PM – Departure to Kigali
